Rod building generates passion and strong opinions. Unfortunately, many rod building arguments are over points that cannot be proven to anyone's satisfaction.
I've pulled the post about silk and nylon until the moderating crew can discuss it. One thing I won't have is commercial rod builders disparaging each other's craft on these forums. I expect a far greater level of courtesy from the professionals. I've seen too many forum discussions elsewhere that were spoiled by commercial interests defending their turf.
