This fly tying contest is sponsored by CLIFF OUTDOORS with their donation to the site one of their new fly boxes, a JUSTIN CASE. Measuring 13" X 10 1/2" X 4 1/2" the Justin Case is a rigid plastic behemoth of a waterproof briefcase style fly box. The Justin Case is certainly impressive, will hold a lot of big meaty flies, and like ALL of Cliff Outdoors products is "Made in Wyoming".
So...check the rule, the fly box, the Cliff Outdoors website, then get to the vise and knock out your most impressive warmwater surface fly creation. I expect to see a lot of submissions for this contest.
THE RULES:
1. Contest begins Sunday, May 17th and fly submissions will be accepted through Saturday, June 20th, 2009.
2. All contest flies will be sent to me where they will be organized and photographed for voting at the end of the contest. Please PM for my home address.
3. Each tier may submit ONE fly for consideration.
4. Only flies submitted from FFR members will be considered in this contest.
5. All flies submitted must be recognized as a WARMWATER SURFACE FLY.
6. At the end of the submission date, all flies will be organized into a photo poll for voting. For fairness and impartiality, no names will be placed with the fly photos for voting, as we did with the last fly tying contest and FFR logo contest.
7. When voting ends and a winner determined, I will load all the flies up into the Cliff Outdoors Justin Case, and all flies submitted will be sent to the winner. WINNER TAKES ALL!!!
Thanks again to Matt Cassel of Cliff Outdoors for donating one of his Justin Case fly boxes to the FFR forum. It is very much appreciated.
I am very excited to see what warmwater creations will come off our members vises. Please PM if you have any questions.
