If the grip was just cracked, I would say fish it until one of the cork sections starts moving. A crack won't actually hurt anything. But the front section is moving around, so you will have a problem holding the rod. Even if you put glue into the crack, the front cork will still be unsupported and will eventually crack again. If your 222975 is like mine, it has a plastic trim ring AND a tight fitting metal winding check at the front of the grip. That prevents sliding a syringe needle under the front corks to add epoxy where you need it.

I would remove the hook keeper and keeper wraps. Now you should have the room to slide the loose cork up the blank so you can get glue where you need it. Mask and witness mark the cork at either side of the crack (so you can align after you add the epoxy). Slather some epoxy on the blank and work it under the loose cork. Then clamp the cork sections together for a few days. If you can align it correctly, you might not see the crack or have a big blob of epoxy to remove. Finally, if you wish, you can replace the keeper wraps and hook keeper.

The 222975, like most Browning rods, has too few guides in an odd pattern. You might want to take the opportunity to rewrap both rod sections so all the threadwork matches. My 222975 is missing some trim wraps and I don't see any lighter ghost markings at those spots, so you can probably relocate guides to anywhere you see fit.
