I find some of the 'fast action tuned' tapers I use with big streamers on my carbon #8-10 rods a bit much to handle on glass equivalents
(rio outbound , orvis streamer stripper and orvis redfish lines - cold water applications in my case).
I prefer to aerialise a bit of line for better accuracy rather than load and shoot, and the heads seem too short and front heavy, yet I still need some
up-front punch.
What floating line do you favour to turn over large flies with big glass?
