Hey Guys
A couple of days ago I was talking to a buddy about (what else) fly rods. I mentioned that 99% of the time I use fiberglass fly rods and in most cases prefer the Vintage ones. He said that there was a good chance that his Brother-in-Law had a few glass rods laying around from the days when he used to do a lot buying at Yard Sales. So....that night he called to say his BiL had an old rod he'd bought 15 years ago at a Yard Sale and would gladly sell it to me if I wanted it. The next day my buddy showed up with this rod!
It's a Garcia Conolon, 8-1/2', 3 star, 2 piece, 2638, in unused condition. It doesn't look like it's ever had a reel on it and is in like new condition. It still had the plastic protector on the grip and even the old cardboard tube is in excellent condition. Needles to say, I bought it on the spot!
