Tom-There is no model number on the reel seat, I checked it with a magnifying glass. There is no model number nor older style designation to be seen on the rod where it normally would be printed as seen on my other older spinning rods. Thank you for the url, I will check it out.

Stippled Popper-The red on the wrapping appear to be a very fine thread as there appears to be very slight thread separation at two locations. However, there are several level coatings on the threads which make them appear to be a ribbon with a thread like texture. The lower half of the rod show a very fine black thread that is very tightly wound as the ends, but give a decorative spiral as the go twords the red center. The upper half of the rod does not show any spiraling, but has the the black ends and red centers.

The reel seat is an anodized black metal with brightly polished screw tighening mechanism.

Gaddis-The cor handle has a flare at the thumb end and is parallel as it travels towards the reel seat. As it reaches the reel seat there is a slight bevel. I compared the handle to some picture of different designs such as the Thompson, etc., but none appeared to match.
