Wojnicki and Scott: History?

So, can anyone tell me the history between Mario Wojnicki and Scott Fly Rod?

When were they in relationship? SF and/or CO?
Was he contracted to only build bamboo rods for Scott, like Bernard Ramanauskus currently? Or was Wojnicki involved in glass (and graphite) operations as well?

Just curious.

Thinking about going up there and trying it out. Was curious if the fihsng below the damm for trout was or would be a good place to catch a few without having to go to the rockies? It'd be about a 6 hour drive for me. And would this time of year be good?
Is this a rainbow stocker type of place for the bait dunkers or can a flyfisher find some quit and serene areas with some natural breeding browns.

Anyone have any recent problems with "lined" reels in their carry-on bags for domestic flights?

I haven't flown with tackle since 2007 and have a trip coming up to AK....back in 07 I took the line and backing off of the three reels I was bringing with in my carry-on bag to avoid the potential hassle of having to un-line and discard the line at the airport. At that time, there had been a few reports from forum members of certain security check employees feeling that fly line was a safety concern and requiring that the line be removed from the reels or the that the bag with the reels be checked.

I remember how fun it was to line three salmon reels in the rental vehicle on the way to our first fishing spot and if lined reels is no longer an issue I'd like to avoid that experience this trip.

Anyone have any recent problems with security not liking lined reels if your bag was manually opened / checked.

For sale:
1495 1/2 Medalist with round line guard and sculpted pillars. Almost all paint is present on this reel. Missing paint is mostly on edges. Replacement drag adjuster knob from one-pfoot. Otherwise all original. Comes with 2 spools. First is the original 6 rivet with a replacement handle from one-pfoot. No center cap on this spool. Decided to use the one-pfoot replacement on a different reel when I came across a second spool for this reel. Almost all paint is present on this spool (missing under latch cap mostly). Second spool is 3 rivet with all original parts present. All paint is present. Spool #2 comes with original box dated in 1963.

Hi - just wondering if any of you knew anyone that could add ferrules to a rod? I have a 6'3" McFarland rod that is one piece - casts and fishes great, but would be much handier if it was a three piece...
